The Education Committee of the ASEAN Insurance Council (AIC) convened last July 11 & 12, 2018, Inaya Putri Bali, Nusa Dua Hotel, Bali, Indonesia to take stock of the various training and certification programs for insurance professionals across the region. The meeting seeks to identify training gaps and the best way to address them. The AIC also wants to have an ASEAN Insurance Education Masterplan which it can present for discussion at the ASEAN Insurance Regulators Meeting later this year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mr. Michael Rellosa, Executive Director of the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA), who is seated at the far end, presides over the meeting being the chairman of the ASEAN Insurance Education Committee. He is joined by ASEAN Insurance Council Secretary General Evelina Pietrushka and other insurance leaders from the 10 countries of ASEAN as well as heads of insurance institutes in the region. For the Philippine based Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific Mr. Januario Aliwalas Jr. its Executive Director was likewise in attendance.
Mr. Arturo B. Reyes PIRA Board of Trustees represents PIRA to the 5th Council of Bureaux Working Group Meeting another permanent Committee of the AIC which also simultaneously held its separate meeting with that of the AIC Education Committee.Hits: 394
